Bloom where you're planted...

Updated: Aug 29, 2019

It was small, lop-sided, shaded and barely visible behind a big woody hedge. It bravely did its best, displaying a few beautiful blossoms at the beginning of each Spring, only seen if you went deep into the garden and looked back. Then we removed the hedge. It was time for the Magnolia to flourish, and it was so ready! Reaching for the sky and spreading it's branches, it's quite the show off now! Magnolias are never meant for shady spots in the background. I love seeing it be what it was always meant to be: The centre of attention! If you're longing for the spotlight, never stop shining. Hopefully one day you too will have the space to be the star of the season.
